A House with Highland Heritage
Kinnaird House is a fine example of Victorian Highland architecture, built during the period when the Scottish Highlands became one of Britain’s most fashionable holiday destinations.
Unlike Scotland’s castles and grand estates, Kinnaird House wasn’t built for defence or status. It was built for comfort, entertaining and escaping to the countryside.
Many of its original features have been carefully preserved, including traditional Highland stonework, elegant plaster detailing, large Victorian sash windows, spacious reception rooms and a beautiful marble fireplace crafted from stone sourced near the River Tilt at Blair Atholl.
These period features give the house its unique character while creating a warm and welcoming place to stay.
