Challenge yourself with a hike up Ben Vrackie, one of Perthshire’s most popular hills, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views across the Highlands. For gentler walks, explore the woodland trails around Loch Faskally and Faskally Forest, or visit Queen’s View, one of Scotland’s most photographed viewpoints overlooking Loch Tummel.
For families and dog walkers, the Falls of Bruar, Linn of Tummel and Soldiers Leap offer stunning riverside walks and waterfalls.
Local AttractionsDiscover the fascinating salmon ladder and visitor centre at Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre, where you can learn about hydroelectric power and watch salmon make their way upstream. Whisky lovers can enjoy tours and tastings at Blair Athol Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries. Events Throughout the Year
Pitlochry hosts a vibrant calendar of events. The world-famous The Enchanted Forest, Pitlochry transforms Faskally Wood into a magical sound and light experience every autumn and attracts visitors from across the UK. The event runs from October to early November and regularly sells out in advance.
The town is also home to the renowned Pitlochry Festival Theatre, known as “Scotland’s Theatre in the Hills”, offering an exciting programme of drama, music and performances throughout the year.During summer, the Heartland Festival brings live music, family entertainment and Scottish culture to the town, creating a lively atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Christmas and New Year At Kinnaird
Christmas and Hogmanay are wonderful times to visit Pitlochry with lots of festivities to enjoy during your stay. Kinnaird House is cosy and decorated, we can’t promise a white Christmas but the last couple of years we’ve had a white Boxing Day! Pitlochry is famed for its street party on New Year’s Day. The Main Street (Atholl Road) is closed off for the day, band and ceilidh dancing, sausage rolls and soup! Pubs are merry & the after party at The Old Mill Inn is always a win!
